Dr. Khursheed Khine graduated summa cum laude from George Washington University and stayed on there to earn her M.D., which she obtained with distinction. After graduating medical school, she completed a three-year residency program at George Washington University Hospital in Psychiatry.
Dr. Khine’s involvement in research during her undergraduate and medical school years as well as her performance in her residency program earned her the NIMH Outstanding Resident Award. Following the completion of residency requirements, Dr. Khine finished a three-year fellowship at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), specializing in mood disorders and neuroendocrinology. She specifically studied mood disorders in the perimenopause and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD).
